Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka's daughter Damarie Saada Kalonzo tied the knot on Saturday in a colourful ceremony.
The wedding held in Yatta, Machakos County was graced by politicians including governors and members of parliament. Some of the guests at the wedding included; Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, and Machakos Senator Agnes Kavindu Muthama.
Others in attendance were; Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, NARC party leader Martha Karua, Makueni Women Representative Rose Museo, Machakos Women Representative Joyce Kamene, KANU Chairman Gideon Moi, and Mwingi North MP Paul Nzengu.
Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko who shared snippets of the beautiful occasion, wished the new couple all the best as they began this new journey together.
"Unto you Saada and Nyaga, on behalf of my family, I'm so happy to share this start of your wonderful journey with you both as you build your new lives together. May your beautiful marriage be full of everlasting joy. Congratulations. I wish you peace, joy, and happiness today and forever," Sonko wrote.
Additionally, family and friends graced the event dressed in traditional outfits.
The bride and groom were dressed in traditional orange and brown attires standing out from the rest of the party guests. Saada donned an orange gown decorated in Kitenge patterns while the groom was clad in a brown suit with a similar Kitenge print on the shirt.
The couple's choice of colour in their attires also matched with the venue theme where tables featured orange flowers as centerpieces.
Notably, Saada is a legal practitioner following the footsteps of her father who established a law firm in the 80s. She has worked in the UK in the legal sector holding coveted positions as such as Global Human Rights Assistant at Rights and Security International (RSI).
She holds a law degree, a Master's Degree in International Human Rights and a PhD from Leeds University.
Her wedding comes just a few weeks after her brother Kelvin Muasya married Sharon Nthoki in an event also held in Machakos County.
Kalonzo's children include Damarie Musenya, Kennedy Musyoka, Kelvin Muasya and Klein Kalonzo.
