President William Ruto on Friday, July 5, ordered the prosecution of the alleged killer cop who was reportedly captured on camera shooting at peaceful protesters.

The Head of State while addressing Kenyans on his X space, called on Kenyans with details of the alleged cop to submit them to the nearest security office.

The president vowed that stern action would be taken against the alleged killer cop in case he is found guilty of having perpetrated the heinous acts of brutality.

"The police officer who is roaming, I want the exact details of him, I will apprehend him and he will be dealt with per the law," President William Ruto directed.

According to Ruto, those with the footage, the pictures and other evidential materials similarly share them with his inbox.

While addressing Kenyans on the X space, Ruto also vowed to take action on alleged police abductions and maltreatment of suspects arrested in anti-government demos.

The Head of State called on the families whose kin were still missing to bring forward their complaints for tracing.

"After this engagement, I would like, in a secretive way, to send me the details of what happened, I will take action because you don't deserve what you went through," Ruto told popular X user Osama Otero over his abduction claims.

"The era of extrajudicial killings is not with us. It is something I will exercise my mind on as the police have a stipulated procedure on how they arrest people," Ruto added.

The president also went ahead to dismiss claims that over 200 people died on Tuesday, June 18, in Githurai 44.

"Can the family members of these 200 people come forward and say they lost loved ones? 200 people who went to protest and did not come back?" Ruto questioned.

"I will never say anything that is not factual about people losing lives," he added.
