Former Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen on Thursday lauded President William Ruto following the latter's decision to overhaul his cabinet.
In a statement, Murkomen expressed gratitude for the privilege granted to him by the Head of State to serve Kenyans in the capacity of a minister.
“It has been my greatest privilege and honour to serve my country as a Cabinet Secretary in charge of Roads and Transport,” read part of the statement by Murkomen.
“Thank you Mr. President for giving me the opportunity. God bless you and God bless Kenya,” he added.
Similarly, former Health CS Susan Nakhumicha while commenting on the matter, thanked the Head of State for granting her the opportunity to lead a successful rollout of Universal Health Coverage(UHC).
According to Nakhumicha, it was a busy 21 months that saw her initiate far-reaching reforms in the health sector, both legislatively and policy-wise.
Nakhumicha noted the reforms helped to lay a firm foundation for the realization of UHC.
“Proud of the Ministry of Health team who mid-wife these reforms, development partners and the legislature that passed the bills,” Nakhumicha said.
"Thanks to the Health workers for the support and my heart goes out to Community Health Promoters who made our mantra "Afya Nyumbani",” she added.
Meanwhile, Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba also expressed gratitude to Ruto for the privilege he granted him to serve as a CS for the second time.
"I thank His Excellency President for the trust and confidence that informed my appointment to serve in the Cabinet for the second time in my public service life," Ababu noted.
"God bless Kenya and grant the President grace and wisdom to navigate our country into a safe harbour."
