Renowned media personality Shiksha Arora is set to leave the Kenya Broadcasting Cooperation (KBC) after years of service as a news anchor.
Taking to her social media platforms, the vocal journalist revealed she would be quitting the media house after three years and would be hosting her final show on Friday, July 19, at 9 pm.
While announcing her departure, Arora went ahead to commend her colleagues, terming her three-year experience at the station as an incredible journey.
“My heart is overflowing with emotions as I type this. It's hard to say goodbye to a workplace that I called home for 3 years & colleagues who have become like family,” Arora stated.
"Thank you to everyone who joined me on this incredible journey on Easy Friday on KBC for the past 3 years.”
Arora while reminiscing her time at the media house, revealed she covered the elections and had the opportunity to dance with the biggest names in the entertainment scene in Kenya.
According to the news anchor, she also had the chance to interview over a hundred celebrities and artists on her show.
"What a time we had! We've laughed, danced, cried, and grown together on KBC television" Shiksha narrated.
"This isn't just the end of a show; it's just the beginning of a new chapter which I am very excited about. As I say goodbye to KBC, join me tonight at 9 PM, one last time on Easy Friday."
The media personality joined KBC as a news anchor in 2021 after quitting K24 where she had similarly served for three years since 2018.
Due to her funny and easygoing nature, she quickly earned interest from many viewers, making her one of the most followed media personalities in the country.
Arora holds a master's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Westminster, London. According to Shiksha despite being a journalist, she also has a knack for digital marketing.
