A Kenyan police officer named Hillary who was deployed in Haiti was on Saturday surprised with a birthday celebration by his colleagues.
CNN Correspondent Larry Madowo shared a video clip of the officers celebrating as a woman approached the officer with birthday cards decorated with balloons.
Hillary, who turned 30 years old, was visibly ecstatic as he was handed the cards.
Madowo, who was interrupted during a monologue at what appeared to be dinner time, recalled that he was first confused before later learning that it was a surprise birthday celebration.
"So I got interrupted by the celebration. I was not sure what was going on because it was my first time here.
"Turns out it was a birthday celebration for this Kenyan officer. Happy 30th birthday. Hillary," Madowo stated.

Madowo further hinted that the base had documented all birthday dates for deployed officers and are likely to be celebrated.
"Everybody was celebrating him and they had birthdays for all the officers at the base which was a happy little touch.
"He wasn't expecting it but he was happy to have it," he added.
In July, Kenya deployed its first and second batches of police officers to Haiti to lead a peace mission and lead the fight against the gangs that terrorised 80 per cent of the country.
The second batch left the country aboard a United Nations chartered flight and was seen off by Deputy Inspector General Administration Police Service, Noor Gabow, in mid-July.
Later reports indicated that each officer could be pocketing up to Ksh279,955 per month, inclusive of allowances, making their peacekeeping efforts financially rewarding.
Shortly after landing, the troops successfully reclaimed the country's largest hospital from armed gangs that had held it hostage for over four months.
