Renowned Radio Presenter Alex Mwakideu has hit back at allegations that he has been funded to use his influence to paint Adani in a good light on radio and social media.

Taking to his social media on Monday morning, Mwakideu denied the allegations made by the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA)-Adani deal whistleblower, Nelson Amenya, and encouraged Kenyans to dig through his social media and listen to his show on Radio 47 to produce any evidence alluding to the same.

He went ahead to promise a cash reward of Ksh1 million to any Kenyan up to the task and offered no deadline for the same allowing Kenyans as much time as they would need to create the evidence.

“I don't know who posted this but I hear anaitwa Nelson Amenya. Check all my social media pages, and listen to Radio 47. If you see anywhere that Alex Mwakideu has defended Adani in any way, I will give you Ksh1 million cash money. This offer has no timeliness, so take your time. All the best!” Mwakideu’s post read.

This dare came just a few hours after Amenya made the allegation on social media that the radio presenter had been paid by a marketing company in Kenya alongside other influencers in a calculated scheme to have them sanitise Adani's image in Kenyan's minds.

“Alex Mwakideu has been paid by (Marketing company) to paint Adani in good light on the radio airwaves. If you listen to him speak, it's like he is defending Adani. It's like he has been paid,” Amenya wrote.

He went further to promise Kenyans that he would be providing more details on how Adani is using the strategy to change Kenyans' view on Adani writing, “I will fill you guys in on the strategy they are using in a few even on MSM.”

However, Mwakideu is not the only high-profile influencer that Amenya has accused of being on the payroll to sanitise Adani group dealings in Kenya.

On Sunday, Amenya posted on his social media that the CEO of the marketing company in Kenya had revealed an elaborate strategy to market the Indian company in good light in the next three months in unconfirmed leaked company emails.

“Leaked emails from the CEO reveal an elaborate strategy to sanitize Adani interests in Kenya for the next 3 months, he even goes ahead and says there are 4 more Adani projects in the pipeline (one of them is Mombasa port).”

He also alleged that there he was also privy to the company working on an impending documentary on Adani writing, “I learnt that they were sending a journalist to India to do a documentary on Adani but statehouse stopped it, this journalist interviewed me at some point too.”

Amenya came into the limelight after blowing the lid off the Adani-JKIA deal a few months ago and has since made several bombshell allegations including accusing a top Kenya Kwanza politician of traveling to India to sweeten the deal and hasten the process.

On October 15, Amenya was barred from publishing content linking the politician to the deal until a hearing was made concerning a defamation case he had filed.
