CCTV footage that captured the shooting of a man allegedly meeting his girlfriend in Eastleigh emerged on Sunday, November 10.
Earlier reports indicated that the deceased, Abdullahi Ibrahim who was aged 25 years, was meeting his girlfriend when the incident took place.
The reports further showed that the victim was shot just below the ear and that assistance was delayed leading to his death.
In the CCTV footage dated Saturday, November 9, a man dressed in a navy blue apron is seen walking towards the pair.
A few feet from the pair, he casually pulled out a gun from his trousers, talked to the pair, and shot the victim who fell immediately.
The girlfriend, dressed in an oversized blue and yellow jacket then took off while the assailant walked away in a different direction.
Reports further indicated that the assailant left with the phone belonging to the victim and police are still unravelling the case.
Last month, an Eastleigh family lost a mother, her daughter, and her niece whose bodies were found dumped in different locations.
The trio, who disappeared on Monday, October 21, were all found dead in Bahati, Parklands, and Machakos respectively with similar injuries. According to family members, the two girls left home on Monday in search of their mother who had yet to return home after a visit to the hospital.
Police probing the case arrested the main suspect in the case, Hashim Dagane Muhumed, who is also believed to have engineered the murder of another person whose body parts were found dumped at Lang'ata Cemetery.
Police officers are investigating an increase in criminal activities and femicide cases in Eastleigh.
