Salim Swaleh, the former Director of Press Service at the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, on Tuesday, November 19, appealed to Kenyan employers to consider him for a job opportunity.
In a video shared on his X account, Swaleh, who went viral on 25 August this year when he shared an emotional clip of him crying while asking for forgiveness, has revealed that there are elements he misses about his former life.
He said he misses putting on his suits and reporting for work duties in the morning.
The former TV journalist also appealed for a job while tagging mainstream television stations in Kenya.
''I miss putting on my suits and reporting to work every morning. Give me a job guys,'' Swaleh shared.
The video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, has the former communication man in Mudavadi’s office share a wardrobe collection of the suits he used to wear to work.
Swaleh went viral in August this year when he apologised to his former boss for his involvement in a Ksh5.8 million fraud case.
He also expressed the emotional turmoil he had gone through since the case came to the public limelight in June.
The former Citizen and NTV journalist's troubles started on June 23 this year, when he was arrested in connection with a complex fraud case at Mudavadi's office.
According to a press release issued by Peter Warutere, the Secretary of Strategic Communications at Mudavadi's office, the suspects were facing impersonation, fraud, and abuse of office charges.
Swaleh and several other suspects were arrested by police following a tip-off from sources at the Railways office.
"The arrests followed a tipoff that alerted OPCS-MFDA security, who then mounted intense surveillance at the OPCS-MFDA Railways Office to disrupt the reported nefarious acts of impersonation and abuse of the facility by the fraudsters," a statement from Warutere read in part.
