United States President Donald Trump has encouraged all immigrants in his country to use the recently launched self-deportation Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Home application to register and leave the country if they want a chance to re-enter the country in the future.

According to the International Migrant Stock 2020 dataset by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the US hosts the highest number of Kenyan migrants at 157,000 out of which 30,000 are unlawful immigrants and at risk of being permanently locked out of the US.

The US government is using the app to encourage such immigrants to leave before U.S. officials apprehend them and remove them from the country forcefully.

In the app, an immigrant is required to register their intent to depart, register their name, and address, upload a photo, and declare if they have enough money to leave the country.

"People in our county unlawfully can self-deport the easy way or they can get deported the hard way. My administration is launching the CBP Home app to give people in our country unlawfully an opportunity to leave now and self-deport voluntarily if they do, they could potentially have the opportunity to return legally in the future," Trump announced.

"If they do not avail themselves of this opportunity, then they will be found, they will be deported and they will never be admitted to the United States again," the president revealed.

According to the US government, self-deportation is the safest option for unlawful immigrants, while preserving law enforcement resources.

Self-deportation also saves the U.S. taxpayer dollars and valuable CBP and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) resources to focus on dangerous immigrants.

This move will affect at least 30,000 Kenyans, believed to be living in the US without proper documentation.

All immigrants have been asked to download the app which is available in all app stores and register for self-deportation or else, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) may catch up with them and deport them in chains.

"Do it right and come back to our country in the future, do it wrong and you will never be back again," Trump warned.

Since his inauguration in January, President Trump has been on a mission to crack down on unlawful immigrants in the US and deport them

During his campaign period, Trump had promised that he would conduct mass deportations and free US from unlawful immigrants.
