Company Puts Cars on Auction for as Low as Ksh55,000

The Onyango and Tarus company has listed a Ksh55,000 Nissan Pulsar among 39 vehicles that are up for auction.

In a notice on Monday, March 31,  the auctioneers said that the car could be viewed at the Naivasha Investment storage yard.

Other vehicle brands included in the auction include Nissan, Volkswagen, Mazda, Mercedes, Isuzu, Eicher, BMW, Honda, Mitsubishi, and Tata Xenon. The prices of the vehicles range between 55,000 and Ksh3.5 million.

Other yards where you can view the vehicles include the  Valuers yard, Nairobi, Joyland yard, Eldoret, Capita Diamond, Thika, Stratruck investment yard in Malindi, Leakey storage in Industrial area, Eezy Storage yard Ruiru, and the Rema storage yard Bungoma.

According to the auctioneers, offers from interested parties will be received until April 9, 2025.

"We are inviting offers from interested parties for the purchase of a motor vehicle as listed below by way of private treaty. Receiving offers closes at noon Wednesday,(9th April 2025)," it stated.

The announcement comes days after five police stations, including Jogoo Road police station, Embakasi police station, Nairobi Central Police Station, Villa police station, and Kongowea Police Station, announced the auctions of 113 motorcycles and 29 vehicles.

In a gazette notice dated March 28, 2025, auctioneers contracted by the police station said that the vehicles and other assorted goods would be sold to the highest bidders if the owners failed to claim them.

The Jogoo Road police station issued a notice to the owners of seven motorcycles, scrap metal, a generator, bicycles, and a trolley that have been lying around the police station.

Embakasi police station gave notice for 69 motorcycles, 22 vehicles, 10 bicycles, three carts, and a chassis. The owners of the items were urged to collect the said items within 30 days from March 18 upon payment of all accumulated costs.

The Central Police Station, announced the auction of 17 motorcycles and three cars, which include car brands such as Honda, Captain, Boxer, Hero, Toyota, and BMW that have been unclaimed.

The Villa police station listed 11 motorcycles and four vehicles for auction. Motorcycle models ranged from Honda, Hero, and Tiger, with vehicles being Mitsubishi and Toyota.

Lastly, the Kongowea Police Station, which had nine motorcycles, one tuk-tuk, and two bicycles.

The owners of the items in these police stations were urged to collect the said items within seven days from March 18 upon payment of all accumulated costs.
