The lavish ceremony was characterised by glitz and glamour. The President was dressed in beige trousers, a light purple shirt, and a black checked blazer. He completed the look with a beige hat, brown Chelsea boots, and a classy walking stick.

Other prominent politicians in attendance included Environment Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya, Tourism CS Rebecca Miano, Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka, and Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa.

In an X post, Speaker Moses Wetang’ula thanked President William Ruto for attending the event and highlighted its significance, especially during the Easter period.

“The foundation of our nation and society is family. To H.E President William Ruto, thank you for honouring our family and gracing the occasion,” Wetang’ula stated.

“This Easter remains a memorable one for my family, as we witness our daughter take the next step of commitment to love,” he added.

At the same time, Wetang’ula sent a message to the newest married couple in town, wishing them love and happiness in their new life together.

“To Tamara and Anthony, as you begin this new chapter in your life, I offer you my blessing. I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together, and may your marriage be blessed with all of life’s goodness,” he remarked.

The wedding came barely two weeks after Tamara had a pre-wedding ceremony where she got engaged to Antony Njoroge

The event was held in Namuyemba, Kanduyi Constituency, Bungoma County, at the Speaker's home. The exquisite ceremony saw the celebration of the two lovebirds, attended by prominent leaders, including the Environment CS, Deborah Barasa.

The event was a harmonious blend of culture, colour, and communal celebration, themed in bold green worn by both the bride and the groom. Tamara wore a stunning green off-shoulder dress, while Antony donned a sleek suit with a green and gold jacket.

Their attire beautifully complemented the lush decor, seamlessly blending with the elegantly decorated head table. Their names stood out in shimmering gold lettering against a dazzling backdrop of white flowers and rich green foliage, creating a stunning yet sophisticated ambiance.

Tamara is the youngest daughter of Wetang’ula from his first wife. According to her LinkedIn page, she is an engineer by profession and an alumna of Monash University.
