The Kenya University and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has given students the final notice for revision of their choices of university and colleges.

Through a statement on Tuesday, May 27, KUCCPS urged students to take note of the closing date, adding that the application system was to close by midnight.

“Deadline Alert! KUCCPS application system closes tonight, May 27, 2025, for the first Revision of Choices to universities. Log in and apply,” KUCCPS urged.

On Saturday, May 17, KUCCPS reopened its portal for revision of courses by the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) cohort.

The online application system was opened for the revision of choices for the placement of students at universities and colleges for the 2025/2026 cycle.

In the online revision, applicants who did not secure a course in the application that ended on April 30, 2025, would have another chance to log in to the portal again and choose any of the listed courses.

As per KUCCPS, the exercise was to run for ten days, from May 18 to May 27, with students who were not able to get their preferred course urged to make the most out of the window.

While making the announcement, KUCCPS clarified that 2024 form four leavers who did not apply for any course before the first application window closed were allowed to choose their preferred programmes.

How to Revise

Candidates who seek to revise or apply for the available courses are required to first log in to the portal www.kuccps.ac.ke

Once an applicant accesses the portal, they will be prompted to enter their KCSE index number, KCSE year, and password.

Applicants are advised to use their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) index number or birth certificate number as their password.

Upon entering the details, the applicant will be able to revise their courses. To revise a course, scroll through the programmes available and either add or revise the courses selected in the bracket.

The latest announcement comes a little over three weeks after KUCCPS officially closed its application portal for those seeking university and college slots.
