Suswa is one of the destinations loved by Kenyans seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
Located in the heart of the Rift Valley, Suswa offers dramatic landscapes, lava caves, and the famous double crater of Mount Suswa. It’s perfect for hiking, sightseeing, and photography, craved by Kenyans especially on weekends.
Suswa is known for its laid-back resorts and eateries serving mouthwatering nyama choma (grilled meat).
A kilo of goat or beef goes for around Ksh1,000, while pork is about Ksh900. Pair that with ugali and kachumbari, and you’ve got a feast.
Many Kenyans visit the destination to enjoy this and also camp overnight while watching the stars. Kenyans who use the train have been advised to take note of the changes.
