Companies, Police Station in Nairobi & Kiambu Announce Auction of Cars, Motorcycles and Bicycles

Two companies and one police station in Nairobi and Kiambu have announced the auctioning of motorcycles, cars, and bicycles, which remain uncollected in their premises.

In a gazette notice dated September 5, the Chanjo O-zone Point said that it will, within 30 days,  auction a vehicle, which is lying idle at the yard situated at Kihuguro, Ruiru, Kiambu County.

The owner of the vehicle has been urged to pay outstanding storage charges and other incidental costs, including that of publishing the auction in the gazette, if he/she intends to collect the vehicle.

"Failure to which the said motor vehicle shall be disposed of by way of sale by public auction without further reference, and the proceeds therefrom shall be defrayed against all the outstanding debts and storage charges accrued thereon and other incidentals," It stated.

On the other hand, Field and Industrial Services Limited has said that it will auction a Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Hummer, VW Crafter, and Land Rover, which are lying at its yard along Lusaka Road, Industrial Area, within 30 days.

The owners of the vehicles will also be required to pay all the accumulated storage charges, together with the interest, and any other incidental costs to collect the vehicle.

"Failure to collect the vehicles, they shall be disposed of by public Auction by Interfield Auctioneers, Afya Centre 8th Floor, Tom Mboya Street, P.O. Box 40781–00100, Nairobi, tender or private treaty, and proceeds of the sale shall be defrayed against all accrued charges without any further reference to the owners," the notice read.

Lastly, the Windsor House auctioneers said that they will auction over 50 uncollected motorcycles and bicycles within the next 30 days, which remain uncollected within the Masii Police station.

The motor vehicle brands include Mitsubishi, Nissan X-Trail, two white Toyotas, Toyota DX, Toyota, and Nissan March, while the motorcycle brands include Boxer, Sonlink, Skygo, Honova, Lifan, Jincheng, TVS, Haojin, Dayun, and Honda.

"Notice is issued following authorities and order under the miscellaneous application case no E001 of 2025 in the Subordinate Court at Wamunyu Law Courts to the owners of Motor Vehicles, Motorcycles, assorted items, and scrap metals which are lying idle and unclaimed within Masii Police Station to collect the said properties," it stated.

The announcement comes a week after two auctioneers announced the auctioning of more than 50 motorcycles and motor vehicles that remain uncollected in several police stations and offices in Embu and Machakos.

According to a gazette notice dated August 26, the auctioneers include Petfriend Auctioneers and  Wotech Kenya Limited.
