At only 20 years, Sadaf Deen caused a stir when she announced that she would contest for the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party ticket for the Mombasa County Woman Representative seat.
She sparked a stir, especially on social media, where she made heads turn due to her stunning beauty, with many, expressing their support for her candidature.
Despite mounting a formidable campaign, she eventually lost the ODM ticket to Asha Mohamed Hussein in an election that she believed was flawed.
Despite the loss, Deen vowed to move forward with her political aspirations. Her statement read: "I have written my story.I might not have gotten the chance to serve my people in the capacity of Mombasa Women Representative, but all is not lost. I will soon advise on the next step."

Currently, Buuri Member of Parliament Boniface Kinoti Gatobu, who was elected at 26 years of age, is the youngest parliamentarian.
