Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri is being sought by police after allegedly beating up his rival for the legislative seat, independent candidate John Mbugua.
The two were hosted at a local radio station and their debate got out of hand, resulting in a fight.
Mbugua, who uses prosthetic legs claimed that the Bahati legislator beat him up and even went ahead to remove his legs.
"I have soft tissue injuries in my left knee and I have been receiving treatment.
"I don't know where the fight came from but Kimani is an arrogant person. I thank God because if people wouldn't have come to my rescue I would be badly hurt," he stated.
Ngunjiri, on the other hand, said that his compatriot was looking for public sympathy and intended to tarnish his name ahead of the August polls.
"I know where my votes are. I don't have time for such a person.
"I've never fought," he concluded.
