The Lake Victoria tragedy in which two boats collided on Tuesday night has claimed the lives of 2 children.
The children drowned.
21 people were rescued.
The passenger boat and the fishing boat both capsized after the collision.
Officials have confirmed that contrary to earlier reports, the passenger boat was carrying 23 people and not 200.
The accident is said to have happened between Kiwa and Remba Islands.
One of the boats was ferrying fishermen to Soi market in Migori.
There were no casualties in the fishing boat.
