A father allegedly stabbed his 2-year-old son on Saturday in a domestic violence that ensued between him and his wife at their home in Huruma Estate, Nairobi.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko said the boy was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) where he is fighting for his life at the children's critical unit.
The father, Emmanuel Ayoyi, allegedly attempted to kill his wife when the child came in between and got stabbed. After seeing the damage he had caused, the man reportedly stabbed himself too the moment neighbours stormed in.
Ayoyi was beaten up and later rushed to KNH for treatment following the stab wounds and injuries sustained.
“Mr Ayoyi is now in a ward in KNH under police protection. He will not get away until justice is served,” said Sonko.
