NASA Vows to Keep Jubilee Party Away From Western Region

The National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential campaign team has formulated a new strategy to keep the Jubilee Party away from the Western region.

The team led by Regional Coordinator Khalid Njiraini stated that it would conduct intensive door to door campaigns to popularise the Alliance.

NASA-affiliated party candidates in the region will also mobilise their supporters to drum up support for the coalition's flag bearer Raila Odinga.

Njiraini stated that Jubilee's efforts to campaign in the region are fruitless as all local leaders have vowed to mobilise support for the ODM chief.

On Wednesday, President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy William Ruto visited the Western region just days after NASA launched Odinga's presidential campaign in Kakamega town.

Kenyatta and his group visited Kisii, Nyamira, Bungoma and concluded the tour in Kakamega County where they met local leaders at Kakamega State Lodge.

Area Governor Wycliffe Oparanya had earlier on termed Jubilee the enemy of the community asking the locals to reject its candidates.

"We say no to Jubilee. Jubilee does not have a chance in Kakamega or Western region at large," Oparanya stated.
