Destiny Gitau Tricked President Uhuru Kenyatta's Security Detail to Give Him Bible on Father's Day in Kiambu

In the small town of Kimende, a boda-boda rider has been elevated to celebrity status after he successfully outwitted the president's security detail.

For years, Destiny Gitau had a present which he desired to give President Uhuru Kenyatta. He carried the present - a Bible - with him whenever the President was in Kiambu, hoping he would get the rare chance of handing it to the head of state.

However, meeting the president had always been a challenge due to the security detail.

Last Sunday, Gitau achieved his dream during a church service that was attended by the president at St Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiambu town.

With a clear plan in mind, Destiny Gitau dressed smartly in a suit and a maroon tie.

Pretending to be a leader, he sneaked his way to join other leaders who had lined up to receive the president and was ushered in to sit just two rows behind the head of state and other dignitaries.

After the president and his deputy had addressed the worshipers, Gitau approached the father to help him deliver his present, but he took the Bible and placed it on the table as people watched.

Gitau's moment came towards the end of the mass when the father said: "Mr President, we have a pastor who wants to give you a present."

He sprung to action as the president made his way to receive the present that was long overdue on Fathers Day.

Those who knew him initially thought it was someone else who resembled the bodaboda rider. Others thought the man of humble means was a clergy.

The two shook hands as the head of state received the present and asked for his contact.

Gitau, who could not hide his excitement, disclosed that he is still waiting for a call from the president who took his contacts.
