Busia National Super Alliance (NASA) Leaders to Hold United Campaigns

National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders in Busia have decided to hold united campaigns after discovering that the Jubilee Party was planning to wrestle the Nyanza region from the Opposition.

Speaking after holding a meeting with other leaders from Busia, Governor Sospeter Ojaamong called on all candidates to unite or fall to Jubilee.

Ojaamong stated that they needed to galvanise campaigns in the region and ensure they bag votes.

"Let us campaign together as brothers and sisters. Compromises must be made to boost our numbers in various assemblies," the Governor said.

He added that for NASA to meet the "10 million strong" target in the August 8 polls, they had to compromise and work together.

Affirming Ojaamong’s calls, Okiya Omtatah, Ford Kenya Senate candidate, stated that Jubilee did not deserve a second term because it had "auctioned the country to the Chinese".

Jubilee had on their part held a meeting with several leaders at the Royal Swiss Hotel aimed at consolidating its support in Nyanza region ahead of the August 8 elections.

National Secretary General Raphael Tuju assured Jubilee candidates of support to ensure they marshal votes and pointed out that they would roll out a massive campaign in a bid to garner at least 45percent of the votes.

NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga is expected to visit the area as he continues with his vote hunting mission.
