President Uhuru Kenyatta to Unveil Jubilee Party's Manifesto on Monday

President Uhuru Kenyatta will on Monday unveil his party’s manifesto at Kasarani Sports Complex just 43 days to the General Election.

Sources within the Jubilee Party stated that the manifesto would pay emphasis on three areas namely; food security, affordable healthcare and improved security in the country.

From his speeches over the last few days, President Kenyatta hinted at the coalition’s new ideas, offering a glimpse of what the manifesto to be launched would address.

Some of the ideas highlighted include at least 100,000 new jobs for youth every year from the graduate internship programme, or paid apprenticeships, through which all graduates from universities and technical institutes will be taken by the government and the private sector for a period of 12 to 18 months.

He announced the internship programme in Meru last week. It is expected that the Government will fund part of the programme directly or through tax breaks and other measures.

Other sectors that are tinted to benefit from the manifesto include; investments in energy, roads, clean water, irrigation, and healthcare, and also provide a conducive environment for investors to plough cash in the area and other parts of the country.

Meanwhile, the National Super Alliance (NASA) is also expected to unveil their manifesto on Tuesday in the run-up to the August General Election.

The coalition will launch the plan during a mega event expected to consolidate its supporters in readiness for the upcoming polls.

All the NASA principals Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto are expected to be in attendance during the event.
