Raila Odinga to Meet Jakoyo Midiwo and Nicholas Gumbo After Chaos Rocked NASA Siaya Rally

National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga has planned a secret meeting with Gem Member of Parliament Jakoyo Midiwo and his Rarieda counterpart Nicholas Gumbo.

Midiwo, who is Raila's cousin, and Gumbo are accused of being behind the fracass that marred a NASA rally in Rarieda yesterday and an anti-ODM campaign in Siaya County, which is Odinga's hometown.

Addressing a crowd during his tour of Siaya County yesterday, Mr Odinga promised to end the hostility through a meeting with his disgruntled cousin, who left ODM to vie as an independent candidate.

The meeting will be Raila's attempt at striking a deal that should convince the two to cease the onslaught and join his bid to oust Jubilee.

The high tension between the ODM candidates and the two independents came to play after Raila campaigned for ODM candidates during a rally at Aram Market on Monday.

"I came to Rarieda to request you to vote for ODM candidates. Kindly make it a 'six-piece' suit plan," Raila urged.

The statement caused supporters of the Rarieda parliamentarian, who is eyeing the governorship, to break out in chaos hurling stones at the ODM supporters, causing Raila to cut short the rally.
