The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has issued three new demands to Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) over claims that the voter register had what the party termed glaring errors.
The party has demanded that the audit report by KPMG be made public including the names of those expunged from the register and criteria used when doing so.
It has also called for the voter register to be availed in each polling station for scrutiny with an amalgamated copy being availed at the ward and constituency offices.
ODM also demanded that KPMG should come clean on its role in the audit of the voter register.
A statement from the party read in part: "The party demands that the audit firm KPMG comes out clearly on what its role was in the purported audit of the voter register."
The Orange Party alleged that "KPMG was merely one of the many agencies being used by the current regime to cover up a dubious voter register."
ODM expressed concern with reports that the IEBC list still includes people who died as long as 20 years ago.
"Kenyans have confirmed the existence of their dead family members, some who passed away 15 to 20 years ago; as still having their names in the voter register. Or where numbers "0", "66", "243" etc still return entries of valid voters," claimed the Party.
It further claimed to have received disturbing reports of "active manipulation of the voter register by active collusion of a number of IEBC officials and two key state agencies."
Finally, ODM demanded a credible, free, fair and verifiable election adding that it would reject results of a manipulated election where the will of the people did not count.
As the country heads into the General Election, the party and National Super Alliance (NASA) has put the electoral body to task as it seeks to block all loopholes that could be used to rig elections.
