KNUT Divided After Wilson Sossion Declares Support For NASA

Kenya National Union of Teachers ( KNUT) Secretary General Wilson Sossion has found himself in trouble for his political affiliation.

A section of KNUT leaders has accused Sossion of using his influential position to advance his political interests.

At a press conference, KNUT leaders from Kiambu led by Samuel Muiruri (chairman), Clement Gicharu (secretary) Rahab Nyambura (treasurer) expressed their anger at Sossion, urging him to quit the union and pursue his political ambitions.

KNUT officials from Central Kenya have declared their support for President Uhuru Kenyatta while Sossion is in the Opposition.

The vocal union leader who has given the government many sleepless nights while articulating the demands of teachers.

Sossion has been on the spot after the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) shortlisted his name for nomination to the next Parliament.

Ever since the nomination, the KNUT boss has been on the NASA campaign trail and even took to the podium to campaign for the coalition's flag bearer, Raila Odinga, during a rally in Bomet.

It is not clear whether the opposing teachers' union officials will oust him from office given that they have also taken a political stand to support Jubilee's, Uhuru Kenyatta.
