President Uhuru Kenyatta Asks Kalonzo Musyoka to Join Jubilee Party

President Uhuru Kenyatta has once again asked Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka to join the Jubilee Party and stop wasting his time on a losing ticket.

Speaking in Machakos on Tuesday, President Kenyatta stated that his rivals from the Opposition were "all talk and no track record". He urged Mr Musyoka to join Jubilee and help propel the country forward.

"My brother Kalonzo. You know very well that the man of Kitendawili will take you nowhere. I invite you again to come and work with us to bring services to the people of Ukambani," said the President.

President Kenyatta further noted that the Wiper Leader could partner with Deputy President William Ruto in 2022 since the current race was already done.

"In 2022, you can team up with (Deputy President) William Ruto because the current election is already a done deal,” the Head of State mentioned.

DP Ruto also added his voice to the issue of Kalonzo, saying that the former Vice President had generally, endorsed President Kenyatta's re-election.

“Kalonzo has already said that he has no problem with President Kenyatta but he said he has a small problem with me. We can resolve that easily,” said the DP.

The DP announced that he would be ready to negotiate with Kalonzo for 2022 and if negations fail, they will face off in the polls.

"Kalonzo and I can agree on a formula in 2022 and in case we don’t agree, we square it out. But for now, I am asking you Kambas to walk with us in forming the next government," he noted.

Last week, President Kenyatta also asked the Wiper leader to join Jubilee. Kalonzo, however, rejected the offer stating that Jubilee was headed to the Opposition trenches after the August elections.
