A woman was on Thursday evening killed after she was hit by a bus transporting Jubilee Party supporters from Deputy President William Ruto's rally in Kwale County.
The deceased Nnjama Mwanzala met her death when she was rushing to board the vehicle leaving the venue of the rally.
The residents noted that Mwanzala died after being hit by the vehicle's side mirror.
She is set to be buried on Saturday in her Kwale home.
Earlier on, the DP accompanied by Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya, Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala, and Lunga Lunga MP Khatib Mwashetani had addressed a rally in the area.
During the event, the Ruto asked residents to vote for the Jubilee administration and not gamble with their votes by supporting the National Super Alliance (NASA).
DP Ruto noted that NASA had no clear plan for the country and was only good at telling riddles.
"You think that guy of riddles can beat us for sure? As he continues playing his ball, we will have won," Ruto stated.
His remarks elicited reactions among the residents with a section of the crowd chanting NASA! NASA! NASA! NASA! as he spoke.
Governor Mvurya on his part urged the residents to re-elect President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration as it had helped Kwale people.
"We will not eat riddles. The manifestos of our brothers have nothing to help Kwale people," Mvurya stated.
