Billionaire businessman Jimmy Wanjigi has come under fire from Jubilee politicians led by Senator Beatrice Elachi.
Addressing the press, Elachi declared that the time had come to finish the war against the cartels that started way back in 2013.
In an address targeting Wanjigi, the senator stated that he had "benefitted from Kenya. You have been an agent of every Chinese company that comes to this country"
She accused the businessman of pushing through deals and lobbying in government offices for the companies in exchange for a 15 per cent cut.
According to Elachi, the final fall-out came after the president decided that 30 percent (of government tenders) would go to the youth.
She claimed that Wanjigi had made billions and it was time for him to step aside for other people to benefit.
"All the money you have made my dear brother, time is up. We are saying young people can also take over," she declared.
The businessman was a staunch supporter of Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto and is believed to have financed their campaigns in 2013.
Trouble started when he crossed over to support opposition leaders Raila Odinga.
This has since seen a host of Jubilee leaders attack him, questioning his source of money.
Wanjigi has however not been convicted of any crime with much of what is circulating being allegations.
