NASA Leaders Barred From Accessing Former Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery's Home

National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition leaders were on Sunday turned away from the Late Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery's Ilbisil home following strict orders from the family.

Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye, Kajiado Central Member of Parliament Elijah Memusi, Kenya Meat Commission (KMC) Chief Taraiya ole Kores and Wiper Woman Representative candidate Simayiai Rakita are among those who have been denied access to the home.

The leaders had visited Nkaissery's residence for a prayer service that had been organised by the burial committee but were kicked out soon after the prayers.

Youths were restrained from evicting Dr Nkedianye and Mr Memusi from the service to avoid causing a scene, conveyed a family source.

Relations between the two leaders and the late CS were frosty following an incident last week where the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party offices were burnt down by unknown assailants.

The Governor and the parliamentarian went on to declare that Nkaissery was after their lives.

Contacted after the declaration, the former Interior CS conveyed that he would file a lawsuit against the two for defamation.

Saitoti ole Maika, the family spokesman did not comment on the family's orders but affirmed that Nkaissery's wife, who had been taken ill with high blood pressure, had been discharged from hospital.
