Baringo Senator Gideon Moi Declares His Presidential Bid To Commence After Tuesday Polls

Incumbent Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has announced when he will commence on his 2022 presidential bid.

Speaking in Iten on Saturday, the Kenya Africa Nation Union (KANU) chairman declared that he would begin his bid for the top seat soon after the Tuesday polls.

“We will not rest after Tuesday. You all know that we have a bigger battle of clinching the Presidency in 2022,” Mr. Moi Declared.

Moi dismissed claims that he was against the Jubilee government.

“No one should cheat you that I am in the opposition. I am deep in the government of the day,” he stated.

Senator Moi has been in a battle of the Rift Valley with Deputy President William Ruto with both having intentions for vying for the 2022 presidency.

In July, the two attended a church service in which Ruto set aside his political differences with Moi and assisted him to locate a Bible verse after he was unable to find it on his own.

In a video recording of the church service, Senator Moi was seen struggling to locate a Bible verse when the two attended the service together.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP Ruto seemingly locate the verse but the Baringo Senator seems to struggle and is seen perusing the Bible forcing DP Ruto to step in and assist him.
