Presidential Aspirant Japheth Kavinga Kayulu Concedes Defeat

Independent presidential aspirant Japheth Kavinga Kayulu has conceded defeat.

Dr Kavinga has so far garnered 36,451 votes and he becomes the first out eight presidential candidates to concede defeat.

By Wednesday 4 pm, provisional results showed that Kavinga had 11,256 votes at position 6.

Incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta was still leading with 7,930,242 votes followed by Raila Odinga (6,529,158), Joseph Nyaga (36,451), Mohamed Abduba Dida (34,832) and Ekuru Aukot (26,107) at fifth position.

Cyrus Jirongo and Michael Wainanina were ranking seven and eighth position with 10,890 and 8582 votes respectively.
