3 Jubilee Supporters Killed During Celebrations in Molo and Magumu

Two motorbike riders on Friday night lost their lives during the celebrations of the victory of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The two died when celebrations began in various parts of the country shortly after IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati announced Kenyatta as the winner of the concluded General Election.

They are said to have been involved in an accident which took place in Magumu area, Kinangop Constituency.

In a similar incidence, a man died in Molo town after he was run over by a lorry during celebrations of Kenyatta's victory.

Hundreds of residents of various parts took to the streets to express their happiness after the eagerly awaited announcement.

Most thronged entertainment joints while others filled the streets in song and dance while chanting to show support for Kenyatta.

However, there has been mixed reactions to the announcement of the presidential results with Opposition supporters dismissing them.

Since Friday night, there has been protests and running battles between the police and protesters who have lit bonfires and blocked roads in several parts of Kisumu and Nairobi estates.
