IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati Neighbour's Vehicles Set Ablaze

Several vehicles belonging to Independent Electoral and Boundaries Chairman (IEBC) Wafula Chebukati's neighbour have been set on fire.

The vehicles are said to have been burnt down on Friday night by unknown people.

The incident happened in Saboti farm, Kiminini sub county in Trans Nzoia county.

The cars were set ablaze shortly after the IEBC Chairman announced President Uhuru Kenyatta as the winner of the concluded General Election.

Additional reports, however, indicate that Chebukati's house which is located in the same area was not damaged during the attack.

Following the announcement of Kenyatta's win sporadic protests erupted in several areas including Kisumu and Nairobi's Kibera and Mathare estate.

Angry youth took to the streets the express their anger regarding the presidential results with reports indicating that some could have been shot during the chaos.

Police were still engaged in running battles for the better part of Saturday as they try to maintain law and order.

Responding to the protests, acting Interior Cabinet Secretary warned criminals who are disguising themselves as protesters with an intention of looting and destroying property.
