NASA Leaders in Narok, Kajiado to Use Salaries to Fund Raila Campaigns

National Super Alliance (NASA) elected leaders in Narok and Kajiado Counties have pledged to use their first salaries to campaign for Raila Odinga in the upcoming re-run election.

Narok Senator Ledama ole Kina, who is the head of Raila's campaign secretariat in the two counties, said the elected leaders would raise Sh100 Million from their salaries in their new plan to makes sure Raila garnered more votes in the region.

"We are ready to campaign for Raila by all means and we are sure that the Maasai will unanimously deliver Narok to NASA, as it happened in 2013," Ledama proclaimed.

He added that they would not require any funding from the opposition leader.

On Sunday, Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho laid out new plans to use elected Members of Parliament as agents in the upcoming Presidential election to ensure a first-round win for Mr Odinga.

Speaking at a NASA rally in Mathare, Joho announced that the coalition will put in place tough measures to ensure their votes were protected, especially in Jubilee strongholds.

He stated that they would rely on both elected and other party leaders to serve as agents in polling stations across the country.

Joho indicated that Embakasi East Legislator Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino would be deployed as an agent in Kiambu County whereas Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati and Steve Mbogo, who came second in the Starehe MP race will also serve as agents.

The ODM Deputy party Leader highlighted to the massive crowd that he would personally be an agent in Nyeri.

At the rally, NASA leaders made it clear that they have no qualms with IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati staying in office, as long as he puts his house in order.

They called for action to be taken on IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba, along with 5 other secretariat officials they allege were involved in illegal machinations that saw them lose the election.
