What NASA Will Do to Defeat Uhuru in October Polls - Ex-Senator Johnson Muthama Reveals

Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has laid out new strategies the National Super Alliance (NASA) intends to use in Nairobi to ensure a first-round win for Raila Odinga in the upcoming October Presidential election.

Speaking shortly after a meeting with Nairobi NASA leaders, Muthama revealed a two-point plan the leaders had adopted for the election.

The former Senator, who is also NASA Chief Campaigner in Nairobi, noted that the coalition would put in place measures to ensure that all Raila votes are accounted for and that no vote is interfered with.

"We must protect our Presidential candidate's votes, we will work all around so that the day the election will be held there will be no chance for Jubilee to manage to steal or mess up with the votes," Muthama stated.

Secondly, the Nairobi Chief Campaigner explained that the coalition would mount a campaign that has never been seen before where all elected Members of Parliament and Members of County Assemblies would be used to rally their supporters behind Mr Odinga.

"All elected Members in their constituencies will coordinate the campaign together with MCAs and the Woman Rep. This will be a campaign like has never been seen before. This time around Raila Odinga must get 1.2 Million votes," he stated.

The leaders condemned the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for setting the election date to be October 17 without consulting the NASA team.

Former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero on his part called on Kenyans to elect the NASA Leader noting that he was the only one who could unite Kenyans.

"Kenyans want justice that is when peace can prevail in Kenya and it is the responsibility of Kenyans to choose a leader who will bring peace and justice and that is Raila Odinga,” he stated.

In the concluded elections, Mr Odinga emerged victorious in Nairobi garnering 834,032 against President Uhuru Kenyatta's 793, 065 votes.
