NASA Flag Bearer Raila Odinga's Message After Isaac Ruto Joined Jubilee Party

National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders have downplayed the move by former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto to back President Uhuru Kenyatta in the repeat presidential election.

Speaking in Machakos, NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga expressed confidence that he would still win in the election scheduled for October 17.

Odinga stated anyone joining Jubilee at this time was 'boarding the wrong vehicle'.

"We have seen others decamping to join Jubilee but I want to tell them that the Jubilee lorry is headed to Egypt. With Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetang'ula, Musalia Mudavadi, Charity Ngilu and Mutula Kilonzo Jr, we will remain strong in NASA," Odinga stated.

Ruto, who was a co-principal in NASA on Friday confirmed that he would back President Kenyatta in the repeat elections.

The Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) leader stated that he had made a decision to dump NASA because he 'felt lonely.'

"I felt lonely. I found myself alone and I have now decided to come back,” Ruto expressed.

Ruto who was seeking to defend his seat in the August 8 polls lost to Jubilee’s Joyce Laboso who garnered 176, 712 votes against his 86,282 votes.
