NASA Now Tells Raila Supporters to Watch NTV, Read Daily Nation Newspaper

The National Super Alliance (NASA) has lifted a ban previously imposed on the Nation Media Group (NMG) news channels.

Siaya Senator James Orengo, who had declared the ban, on Sunday told NASA supporters that they are free to consume products from NMG as their reports are supposedly true.

"Earlier on, I asked you to stop consuming Nation Media Group products but they are now reporting events well. Now you can read the Daily Nation and watch NTV," Mr Orengo said in Kajiado county.

The NASA Senator had accused the NMG of being biased in their reporting soon after the announcement of the August 8 elections.

While accompanying NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga for a rally in Kibra slums, the Senator stated that NMG was not covering post-election violence stories and casualties in the region.

"Kenyan media is biased. We are relying on international media. Do not buy Nation Newspapers or watch NTV," he stated a day after Uhuru was declared the winner.

These remarks did not go well with many Kenyans who felt that the Opposition team was inciting Kenyans to war instead of seeking legal ways to address their issues.
