Kenyans React to Raila Odinga's Announcement Calling for Boycotting of Work on Monday August 14th 2017

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga was a victim of a heated online attack after he asked Kenyans to boycott work on Monday, August 14th, to mourn the deceased Kenyans in Kibera.

Addressing a rally in Kibera, Mr Odinga noted that his supporters should stay at home and wait for his announcement on the next cause of action on Tuesday.

"As we mourn Kenyans killed by Jubilee mandated death squads, let's observe tomorrow as a day of mourning for the fallen patriots. Do not go to work tomorrow," Odinga stated.

The NASA Leader was accompanied by Siaya Senator James Orengo who asked the residents to avoid buying the Nation newspaper and watching NTV news as they were not "covering police killings which had occurred in the region".

"Kenyan media is biased. We are relying on international media. Do not buy Nation Newspapers or watch NTV," he stated.

These remarks did not go well with many Kenyans who felt that the Opposition team was inciting Kenyans to war instead of seeking legal ways to address their issues.
