Orengo Discloses What They Will Do if NASA Loses Election

Siaya Senator James Orengo has revealed what National Super Alliance (NASA) will do in the event it loses the fresh presidential elections.

On Sunday, when asked whether in case Raila lost they would go to the Supreme Court, The ODM senator disclosed that the opposition would accept the results of the elections under one condition.

"NASA is preparing for an election that is free and fair. In those circumstances, one can live with the outcome of the fresh presidential election. But the coalition is intolerant to injustice and electoral fraud," Mr Orengo stated.

He further revealed that the evidence they gathered is what made them win the presidential petition.

"We gathered within record time massive and substantial evidence. The legal team was convinced the case was won even before it was filed. The threshold attained was beyond the preponderance of the evidence," he added.

On Friday,  the opposition coalition declared that results in the fresh presidential election will not be transported to Bomas Tallying Centre in Nairobi to be announced.

Addressing a rally at Ahindi gardens,  Mr Orengo announced that NASA would participate in the polls if IEBC agreed to their term.

"The results will not be transported to Nairobi. The results will be counted and announced at the constituency level," he demanded.

He added that the opposition coalition would only accept results that have been transmitted in a manner prescribed in the Constitution.

"We don't want results transmitted in text format, only forms 34A and B in accordance with the law," he affirmed.

Mr Orengo urged residents to turn out in large numbers to vote for Raila Odinga.
