Uhuru's Re-election Boosted After 7000 Kamba Members Join Jubilee

At least 7,000 members of the Kamba Community living in Nakuru County have joined the Jubilee Party and the 'Uhuruto' Campaign bandwagon.

Speaking during a press conference on Wednesday, the community, led by Gerald Kilonzo and Anne King`otole stated that they were already asserting a coordinated campaign across the County`s 11 subregions in a bid to ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election in the repeat presidential poll.

King`otole stated that the campaign would focus on the Jubilee government`s development track record.

He further stated that the campaign would involve a progressive development blueprint to ensure that the electorate in Nakuru vote overwhelmingly in favor President Kenyatta.

The community stated that they were anticipating the campaign would enable them deliver one Million votes to the president.

Nakuru Deputy Governor, Erick Korir, and Nakuru County Jubilee Party Chairman, David Manyara, welcomed the community into the ruling party.

The two leaders noted that the Kamba community`s invaluable participation in the campaign would help encourage other communities to join Jubilee in a move to unify all citizens in the country on common social economic fronts.

Last month, former Kitui Senator David Musila led other Ukambani leaders in defecting from the National Super Alliance (NASA) to the Jubilee Party.

Musila announced the community was fed up with being held hostage by the political decisions of NASA co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka.

He added that they did not wish to be locked out of the government for the next term.
