Kenyans were on Wednesday engaged in various heated discussions top among them the High Court ruling on a case filed by Thirdway Alliance party candidate Ekuru Aukot.
Justice John Mativo ordered that Mr Aukot along with other candidates who contested in the August 8 presidential contest be allowed to participate in the October 26 election.
Under the topic Ekuru Aukot, Kenyans on Twitter conveyed plans to abandon both President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga and instead vote for the first-time presidential candidate.



Mr Aukot also topped Google Trends as the most searched item on the search engine in the country.
The two topics trended following the ruling by High Court Justice John Mativo which ordered the inclusion of Dr Ekuru Aukot on the presidential election ballot papers.
Social media users quoted excerpts of the judge's ruling while others took to the platform to politicise the Court's decision.


The topic made it to the trends after the National Assembly passed the Election Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2017 and the Election Offences (Amendment) Bill, 2017.
The amendments, which will slightly change the existing electoral laws, are now awaiting approval by President Kenyatta.

The topic also trended after Starehe MP Charles Kanyi "Jaguar" issued an apology to his Embakasi MP counterpart Babu Owino who he fought with him at Parliament buildings on Tuesday.

Kenyans on social media used the hashtag to discuss the political intrigues of the day following the rulin on Aukot's case.
Many of the commentators used the hashtag to condemn NASA anti-IEBC protests that rocked Nairobi as well as the lakeside city of Kisumu.

Some of the netizens further condemned criminal acts that the NASA supporters allegedly engaged in including stoning parked cars and looting as portrayed in videos circulating.
