23 Hospitalised in Kisumu After NASA Demos

23 people have been admitted at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Hospital following the National Super Alliance (NASA) demonstrations in Kisumu.

The victims sustained injuries, three among them with serious gunshot wounds after they clashed with police officers in Kondele area.

Trouble started when the demonstrators started throwing stones inside the Kondele police station.

This led to running battles between demonstrators and police officers. The officers however denied using live bullets on the protesters during the scuffle.

In Homa Bay, a police officer was injured and his AK-47 stolen by the demonstrators.
