Kenya's Trending Topics on 13th October 2017

Kenya's boy-band Sauti Sol has been a top trending discussion in Kenya for the better part of Friday following a controversial tweet on its official handle.

The renowned group posted a politically charged message that seemed to indicate abhorrence towards the National Super Alliance (NASA) as well as the Jubilee Party.

Under the topic "Sauti Sol", social media users liberally advised them to stick to the entertainment industry and avoid political discussions.

Various other netizens hurled profanities at the music group while others defended and agreed with their statement.

#MutaiVsEkuru/ Ekuru Aukot

Netizens used the hashtag to share their reactions to the latest move by a Kenyan voter, Mr Abraham Mutai, who filed a new suit at the Court of Appeal.

Mr Mutai is seeking to overturn a High Court ruling that allowed Dr Ekuru Aukot and five others to contest in the October 26 repeat presidential poll.
