Former IEBC Commissioner Roselyn Akombe has revealed two major problems that IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati is facing.
Speaking on Wednesday during an interview with BBC, Akombe stated that despite being an able leader, the IEBC Chairman was under siege.
Ms Akombe explained that Mr Chebukati did not have the required support in the Commission which was inhibiting him from solving the crisis facing the country.
She also noted another problem affecting the Chairman is lack of firmness which she stated has slightly affected the Commission.

However, she divulged that some of Chebukati's characters were helpful in some situations but he was not firm enough.
“Chairman Chebukati is a very well-meaning person. He has the temperament to be a leader but he is a leader who is under siege,” Akombe stated.
“If he was firmer I think probably we could have gone much far,” she added.
This comes a day after Akombe resigned from her position at IEBC stating that a number of IEBC Commissioners were compromised.
Hours later, Chebukati also revealed some IEBC Commissioners have been opposing many of his motions aimed at enhancing the operations of the Commission.
According to a report by Standard, the opposing side is led by Vice Chairperson Consolata Maina who is backed by Commissioners Abdi Guliye, Boya Molu and Paul Kurgat.
The report further outlines that before her resignation, Akombe and Commissioner Margaret Mwachanya are the only ones who have always backed the Chairman.
