Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has sacked eight county executives and retained only two of those who served in his previous term.
Mandago presented a new list of nominated County Executive Committee (CEC) members to the County Assembly for vetting.
The Jubilee governor has retained Mary Njogu, who was in charge of Environment, and Gideon Birir who headed the Roads docket.
Among his new nominees are Evelyne Rotich (Health), Emily Kogos (Information and Communication Technology) and Esther Mutai (Co-operatives).

Samuel Yego has been nominated to chair the Agriculture and Fisheries docket, Julius Ruto for Finance, Nelson Mariti for Lands and Barnabus Tarus who will be in charge of Devolution and Public Service Management.
"The appointments were based on merit and included people who are well qualified to serve residents," Mr Mandago stated.
Mandago sacked Philip Melly who was in charge of Trade and Margaret Chepkwony who headed the Health docket.
Other officials who were sent home include Cyril Cheruiyot (Agriculture), Enoch Mugei (Education), and Shadrack Sambai who was in charge of Finance.
The second term Governor had vowed to sack all the executives who performed poorly during his previous term.
He also accused some of the county government officials of campaigning for his rival Bundotich Kiprop (Buzeki) during the August election.
