Moses Kuria Praises Raila For His Statesmanship

Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has hailed opposition leader Raila Odinga for his statesmanship following Mr Odinga's speech in Bondo on Friday.

Moses Kuria futher urged the former Prime Minister to urge his supporters not to use rocks in their protests and to desist from advancing towards police stations.

He stated: "I really liked Raila's speech in Bondo. Do not beat up Kikuyus, Kisiis and Somali businesspeople in Bondo. I think thats statesmanship."

He also urged people in Kiambu to respect the rights of others in the county regardless of their tribe.

"I want to remind the people of Kiambu that Luos and other communities living with us are our brothers and sisters. They have the right to vote for Raila or Uhuru just like you," Kuria stated.

The fiery MP is known for regularly being in trouble over hate speech and making inciteful remarks.

In recent weeks, he has called for the police to shoot Mr Odinga dead, and also threatened him that they (Jubilee) would arrest him just as it happened to his father, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.

On October 7th, Kuria was summoned by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) over the remarks.

He was in court last month alongside former Machakos Senator Johnston Muthama. He was on the spot over remarks he made declaring he would launch a manhunt for Raila's supporters in Kiambu.
