Since the August elections, there has been a trend of protestors being shot by police.

Last week, Mr Boinnet had to explain why police officers shot dead three National Super Alliance (NASA) demonstrators in Bondo.

The police boss accused the three of attempting to force their way into a police station during their demonstrations.

He warned demonstrators against engaging in such behavior, notifying them that they would be met with extreme force.

In a statement issued by the Police Service, Boinnet maintained that attacks on the police or police stations would not be tolerated.

“Such attacks will be deemed among other violations of the law, as an attempt to steal firearms, and will elicit the appropriate response,” Mr Boinnet stated.
