The county assembly had approved the nominations of seven other CECs forwarded by Joho to the house for vetting.

Wamtoa was named in the second batch of the nominees who are set to be vetted.

Seth Odongo was nominated to the Devolution and Public Service Administration docket while Fawz Ali was named Trade, Tourism and Investment CEC.

The swearing-in of the other seven members is slated for this Thursday.

On Tuesday, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko was put on the spot over his nominees and admitted that he hired executive committee members who lacked the necessary experience for the dockets they were appointed to.

The County Assembly of Nairobi unanimously approved the 10 executives for appointment after vetting and stated that they would learn on the job.

In an interview with a local daily, Sonko justified his nominations, stating that even one of President Uhuru Kenyatta's Cabinet Secretaries had not shown exemplary performance when being appointed.

“Even Cabinet Secretary Phyllis Kandie did not perform well in the interview but her docket is leading right now, they will deliver,” Mr Sonko stated.
