Kalonzo's Message From Germany Shakes Up Social Media

National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka has responded to rumours that his wife, Pauline Kalonzo, has passed on.

On a phone call with Mbaitu FM, Kalonzo termed the reports as fabricated lies by evil people adding that his wife is still alive.

Appealing to Kenyans of good will to dismiss the malicious rumours with the contempt they deserve, the Wiper party leader emphasised that his wife is still undergoing treatment.

His family has not been open about Mrs Kalonzo's ailment over the past few months that has seen her husband abandon politics to be with her in Germany.

Social media users had circulated reports that Mrs Kalonzo had passed on with many expressing their sympathy through condolence messages sent to the Opposition leader.

Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jr is among Ukambani leaders who dismissed the reports tweeting: "Those circulating rumours of the well being of Pauline Musyoka should stop. She is well and we should all pray for her quick recovery."

Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula, Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok and Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana are among NASA coalition leaders who visited the former VP and his ailing wife in Germany.

Moments after his statement, the former Vice President took to his Twitter account to comment on Monday's Supreme Court ruling that upheld President Uhuru Kenyatta's win.

The brief tweet read: "Only true change can come through a free and fair credible electoral process."
