Where NASA Leaders Will be During President Uhuru Kenyatta's Swearing-in

New details have emerged indicating that the National Super Alliance (NASA) will hold a public rally at Uhuru Park on Tuesday while President Uhuru Kenyatta is being inaugurated at Kasarani Stadium, Nairobi.

Reports in the Standard, indicate that the Uhuru Park meeting will be a joint memorial service for all victims killed since the August elections.

The Tuesday rally will be a culmination of a series of events beginning today.

According to the coalition's CEO Norman Magaya, the opposition will today conduct a fund drive at Laico Regency hotel to cater for medical bills of the injured supporters and funeral costs for the deceased.

Opposition Leaders; Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula are expected to lead the harambee.

“We are going to have funds drive in aid of those killed by police. All the 27 were shot or hacked. We have been in touch with the families. NASA leaders, civil society, and well-wishers will take part in the exercise. We want to assist families of the bereaved to give their kin befitting burials," Magaya stated.

On Saturday, the coalition leader Mr Odinga is expected to make an announcement regarding the way forward after the Supreme Court upheld President Kenyatta's win.

The announcement will be followed by memorial services in various part of the country on Monday for their deceased supporters after which they will conduct the mega rally on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto are set to be sworn in for their second terms on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i gazetted the 28th of November as a public holiday to allow Kenyans attend the ceremony.
